Right-to-Work State

It is a term used to describe a state in the United States that has enacted legislation that prohibits agreements between labor unions and employers that make union membership or payment of union dues a condition of employment. In other words, in a right-to-work state, employees are not required to join or financially support a labor union as a condition of their employment.
