Non-Exempt Employee

It refers to an individual who is not exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) in the United States. The FLSA sets standards for minimum wage, overtime pay, and other employment regulations. Non-exempt employees are entitled to receive at least the federal minimum wage and overtime pay for any hours worked beyond 40 hours in a workweek.
