Independent Contractor

It is a self-employed individual or a business entity that provides services to another individual or organization under the terms of a contract. Unlike an employee, an independent contractor is not considered an employee of the hiring party and operates independently. Independent contractors have more control over how they perform their work, including the methods, tools, and schedule they use. They are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and other business expenses. Independent contractors are typically hired for specific projects or tasks and are not entitled to the same benefits and protections as employees.
