Gender Identity

Refers to an individual's deeply held sense of their gender, which may or may not align with the sex assigned to them at birth. It is a personal and internal perception of oneself as male, female, neither, or any other gender identity. Gender identity is distinct from biological sex and encompasses a spectrum of identities beyond the traditional binary understanding of male and female.
