Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

It is a work-based intervention program designed to identify and assist employees in resolving personal problems (e.g., marital, financial or emotional problems; family issues; substance/alcohol abuse) that may adversely affect the employee's performance. EAPs generally offer free and confidential assessments, short-term counseling, referrals, and follow-up services for employees. An EAP aims to help employees address and resolve personal problems that may be impacting their job performance, health, and well-being.
