George Samuel Clason, also known as George S. Clason, was born in Louisiana, Missouri, and died in Napa, California, on November 7, 1874.
He served as a soldier, a merchant, and a writer over the course of his eighty-two years. During the Spanish–American War, he served in the US Army.
