About the Author

Peter Cappelli is the Director of Wharton's Center for Human Resources and the George W. Taylor Professor of Management at The Wharton School. He is also a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, MA, and a Distinguished Scholar of the Ministry of Manpower in Singapore since 2007. From 2003 to 2005, he worked as Senior Advisor to the Kingdom of Bahrain for Employment Policy. He holds degrees in industrial relations and labor economics from Cornell University and Oxford University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar.
